Cyprus Rally Brief Description,
The first rallies in Cyprus were nothing like what we see today. They were a cross between a race and a reliability trial, where the overriding problem was whether the cars would be capable of getting to the finish, is the best description. However, as the expertise of the drivers – and the reliability of the cars – improved, motor club members glamoured for another type of event and it became evident that something more professional was needed.
In 2000 The Cyprus organizers were thrown in at the deep end, with just four months in which to put everything together, when the rally was taken into the WRC as a last-minute replacement for the China Rally.
Today the Cyprus Rally is part of The Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) which is a major international rally series which will feature 13 rounds and which sees a number of drivers/manufacturers compete in high profile, two-day motorsports events in countries across the globe.
The Cyprus Rally became an instant hit with drivers and fans alike. Due to the Rough and rocky gravel roads, smooth and broken asphalt, plus punishing ambient temperatures which all combine to make the event, based in the hills near Pafos, one of the toughest on the IRC Rally calendar.
For decades, the Cyprus Rally has been one of the most exhilarating motorsports events in the world… and 2012 won’t be any different.
The Cyprus Rally is unique in the IRC in that it is the only event on the 2012 calendar to feature a mixture of asphalt and gravel stages with some runs using a combination of both surfaces. Indeed, approximate 48 - 50 per cent of the competitive route is on Tarmac. The cars will use gravel tyres and gravel suspension. This risk the car to slide a lot and makes the drivers need to control the car.

Team Building aktiviteter
There is nothing like building your own boat or joining the Guiness book of record to build team spirit! These activities have proven to be very successful in promoting teamwork.
Given 2-3 hours to build their boat, teams tackle the technical side of the boat building and do some brainstorming to give their boat a name and make a flag to represent their team. The teams are marked on creativity, design and the technical aspects of the boat, i.e. whether it will float!
Briefed by a member of the military, the delegates' stamina and endurance will be tested on this activity day that will include orientation and also physical challenges.
Variations of the theme:
An event for the Records and sure to boost any company's spirit! Illustrated here is the world's largest sand collage (currently 28mx10m).
Other activities with PR properties:
